Civil Engineering Services
Otto Associates' Civil Engineering Department includes Professional Engineers, Engineers-In-Training, Engineering Technicians, CADD Technicians, and Inspectors. We utilize up-to-date software including AutoCAD, HydroCAD, and Eagle Point to design and draft a complete set of construction plans. We have established strong working relationships with the Communities in which we work, as well as with local Contractors and Developers. We assist our clients from the initial planning stages through project completion and are committed to providing a professional product with personal service.
Civil Engineering Design Services Include:
- Conceptual site planning and design
- Feasibility studies
- Storm water management design
- Design for grading, sanitary sewers, watermains, storm sewers, and streets
- Construction plans and specifications
- Permit application preparation
- Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP)
- Construction cost estimates
- Coordination of project review and approvals with governmental agencies
- Site plans and parking lot design
- Client representation and/or assistance at public meetings
- Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) preparation
Construction Administration Services Include:
- Construction observation (oversee Contractor's activities and material testing)
- Track project quantities of materials and process pay requests from Contractor
- Conduct pre-construction meeting
- Construction bid letting and contract preparation
- Coordinate construction staking
- Prepare record plans (as-builts)
